One owner bike, owned for 30 years. It has been ridden at meetings all over the country including the Redmarley Hill climb. Five years ago it was converted to a road bike. The engine was totally rebuilt some 1750 miles ago by Eclipse Motorcycles of Tranent. The rebuild included new barrel and pistons (Morgo), reconditioned head by the Cylinder Head Shop, dynamically balanced crank and new push rod tubes fitted. The con rods are Carrillo from the U.S. Ignition by Boyer. Oil pump is Morgo. Gearbox is five speed. Belt drive is by (the late) Tony Hayward. The alloy seat base, side panels and tail are by Holt Engineering of Essex and the alloy tank came from Terry Weedy. The frame is a Rickman Mark 3 and was manufactured by MRD of Bristol (the late Pat French). The forks and disk brake are Royal Enfield. Electronic rev counter is fitted to the bike, it comes with an MOT until May 2024.
The bike comes with a folder full of history to include invoices over the years with thousands of pounds worth, letters from the Metisse motorcycle club and much more.
